The AB-38 is the “Dual Slimline” bifolding door from Smarts / Aston Architectural Aluminium, designed for ultra-slim sightlines and premium performance.
With an 88 mm glass-to-glass interlock, it stands among the slimmest UK aluminium bifold systems.
Key Features & Technical Specifications
- Sightline: 88 mm glass-to-glass interlock, creating expansive glass views and minimal frame presence.
- Thermal performance (U-value): as low as 1.1 W/m²K when combined with appropriate glazing (28–44 mm) as per technical data.
- Glazing thickness: Accepts glazing units between 28 mm and 44 mm deep.
- Panel size: Maximum height up to ~3000 mm, maximum width per sash ~1300 mm in standard spec.
- Weight / load: Up to ~140 kg per sash in standard spec.
