What a design consultation involves
Your consultation focuses on the fundamentals that determine whether a project succeeds or fails.
Where appropriate, we will advise whether aluminium glazing is suitable at this stage, or whether further design or structural work should be completed first.
We discuss:
Your project goals and intended use of the space
Opening sizes and proposed layouts
Structural considerations, including steels and load paths
Threshold options and finished floor levels
Sightlines, proportions, and system suitability
Programme, sequencing, and site readiness
How consultations are carried out
Design consultations are typically carried out:
– By phone or video call at early stages
– On site for projects ready for technical survey
All consultations are appointment-led.
This approach allows us to focus on accuracy, preparation, and project-specific advice rather than generic demonstrations.
What this is (and what it isn’t)

What happens after the consultation
If you decide to proceed after a consultation, a detailed technical survey and formal specification stage will follow before any manufacture is agreed.
Following your consultation, we will:
Advise on suitable systems and configurations
Confirm whether the project is ready for technical survey
Outline next steps clearly, without pressure
